with guide into the flooded remains of an 18th century lead mine, with

Treak Cliff Cavern, 18th century mine, part natural,
cave system, mined since 1750, good stalagmites and stalactites, Tel:

Derwent and Ladywell Reservoirs, drive through Hope Valley,
the A6187 then north on the A6013 to these reservoirs, easy walking and
there is a summer bus to take you up to Howden Reservoir. Derwent was
used for practice by the famous "Dam Busters" in WWII
